With Cascavel wines you discover the main terroirs of Provence, from Mont Ventoux to the Alpilles, from Sainte-Victoire to Pont du Gard. This generous region is unique. The climate, inhabitants, their traditions and their wines are all imbued with an exceptional and envied "Art de Vivre in Provence".

For nearly 15 years Cascavel wines are committed to claim a lifestyle true to the owners’ belief, and a desire to communicate the typical Mediterranean terroir flavors of the south-east of France.

Cascavel wines were originally located at the foot of Mont Ventoux, have evolved over time and moved, while remaining an original wine approach. The "garden" of the Cascavel wines has also gradually expanded to open up to new vineyards displaying these Provence colors and delighting our hearts.

Cascavel’s daily ingredients include local traditions, history and legends. The surrounding vestiges remind us our Roman roots; footprints left by Popes and Counts of Provence are naturally ubiquitous. The very nature of the surrounding landscapes, like the paintings of Impressionist painters inspires us and contributes to the creation of a link between history and terroirs.

The very name Cascavel - a cast iron bell in Provençal - recalls the pastoral and agricultural origins of the region. Our wines come from carefully selected terroirs for their ability to produce fine and elegant wines. They are the result of an individual and enviable collaboration with talented winegrowers whose values of seriousness, simple and lasting well-being, respect for each other's work and the quest for excellence we share.

Thus Cascavel wines fit naturally in simple hospitality moments, and around more elaborate, authentic and tasty dishes. The wines are as much as possible organically or sustainable farming certified. The selected vineyards benefit directly from the best exposed terraces, cool breezes coming from the main mountains of the region - Dentelles de Montmirail, Mont Ventoux, Luberon mountains, Montagne Sainte Victoire, Alpilles - or mythical soils of the Rhone Valley like those who made Châteauneuf-du-Pape famous.

Cascavel wines have always been based on personal, independent biases and free in their choice and their commitments.

The origin of the Cascavel wines as we know today was an estate, created in the mid-1990s. Olivier & Raphael then produced their wines at the foot of the Mont Ventoux and quickly acquired a good reputation. In the early 2000s Raphael created new wines within Caravinsérail to meet new requirements (In Fine and Elicio). The duo broke up in 2008, the estate was sold and Raphael continued and produced alone the Cascavel, In Fine and Elicio wines with neighbouring winegrowers. Wishing to hand over, he ensured that the values and the quality of the wines were continued, before refocusing his activities in 2015.

Since the beginning Didier is a partner and he ensures the wine profiles over time, within the framework of his professional activity within the ICV. He is a renowned engineering enologist consultant in the development of Rhone Valley wines.

For more than 15 years he is in charge of the follow-up of the winemakers and the cellars vinifying the Cascavel, In Fine and Elicio wines on a daily basis, together with the team in place.

In 2015 Xavier who is seduced by the wines and the spirit of the house, and has an international wine trade background, took over from Raphael. His ambition is not only to ensure the continuity and development of the Cascavel, In Fine and Elicio wines, but also to build a solid foundation within its adopted land between Monts du Vaucluse and Luberon. His vision of the suggested wines is built on twenty years of diverse experiences in contact with various production areas, in France and abroad, as well as a permanent collaboration with renowned winemakers and oenologists.
